Pole Day Wrapup

Qualifying for the 2012 Indianapolis 500 is in the books and Penske's Ryan Briscoe will sit on Pole for the 96th running of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

Sitting alongside Briscoe will be James Hinchcliffe and Ryan Hunter-Reay.

The remaining 21 spots qualified today include:

P10 - Barrichello

Unlike most of the month, the day was not without incident with crashes by Bryan Clauson, Oriol Servia, and Ed Carpenter. With a slight injury to Clauson's hand, all three drivers were checked and released from the medical center and cleared to drive tomorrow.

Saavedra blew an engine on a qualification warmup lap early in the day but a replacement was made and the Colombian was able to qualify 24th.
