Conway Signs With RLLR

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing announced Monday the signing of Mike Conway to pilot the team's second entry at the Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix in April.

“I am very happy to announce I will be racing with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in the upcoming event at Long Beach in April,” said the 2011 Long Beach Grand Prix winner. “The team has proven their speed and technical excellence in the past and I can't wait to start working with everybody. I worked with (RLL race engineer) Eddie (Jones) indirectly when he was Marco's (Andretti) engineer at Andretti Autosport so we would debrief as a group. He knows his stuff and has been around a long time so it should be fun working together.  I hope to add more races for the upcoming season but in the meantime, I look forward to getting back on a circuit that I previously won on!”

Piloting the #30 Dallara, Conway comes to the team after bowing out before last season's finale at Auto Club Speedway in California  citing a lack of will to compete on ovals. The Brit was slated to finish his full-time season with A.J. Foyt Racing before the announcement.

The 29-year-old will run alongside full-time RLLR driver Graham Rahal.
