I was born and raised on 11th street sixty years ago. This saddens me greatly to see my namesake have only 30 drivers entered. If my memory still works, there used to be 90 cars entered. Bump day was a fan favorite. Scotty Brayton pulling his 2nd fastest qualified car out to beat Arie. Then we loose him in practice. My stop watch was running on him when he didn't come back around. Let it run the rest of the month. Only 8 Americans! VERY SAD. I blame Tony George and his "Corporation Seeking" strategy. He wined and dined major corporations. He built a Gestapo type security force and let most of the veteran, friendly, Gold Badges go. "If fans come, corporations will follow." Corporations will leave if it's not a marketable venue.

Rick, don't be an idiot! My son has raced at Indy at nine yrs of age in a quarter midget under usac. The problem isn't Tony George, it's the idiot president we have. Stands aren't full in any form of racing and my son isn't racing right now due to the obamanation of this country. Get out and vote and racing will get better!!! Dr. Wayne Rice
