Heard from a friend that Dan Wheldon might be teaming up with KV and Mona Vie as sponsor. Would be a good move for a company loaded with cash and get all the PR off of his win at the 500. Scheckter became kind of a trader going with another energy drink so MV gets a great spokesperson in Dan for its eMV energy drink plus same team as Sato who they also seem to support with his charity helping Japan.
It would be very useful if you would explain how the sums are distributed. For instance, Simona receives over $300,000 even though she dropped out at about lap 44, whereas Pippa Mann, who finished 20th, receives only a little more than $250,000.
The distribution varies because of contingency awards which pay for doing certain things at certain times. For example there is money paid for leading the race at lap 50, 100 and 150.
