Rahal Confirmed For Indy

UPDATE: According to a RLR rep, the #30 will replace the #17, making it unlikely that a 2-car effort is possible.

Tuesday night Rahal Letterman Racing announced that 21-year-old Graham Rahal will run the #30 Honda-Powered Dallara in the 94th Indianapolis 500 later this month. RLR, who is in the midst of their 2nd consecutive season running only a one-off IZOD IndyCar Series entry at Indianapolis, originally submitted the #17 as their 2010 Indy entry. It's still unclear as to if Graham and the #30 will replace the #17 or if the possibility of a 2-car effort remains.

After a late off-season 'no go' from sponsors, Graham was left out in the cold and without a ride in his 3rd year of IZOD IndyCar Series racing. Sarah Fisher and Dollar General came to the Ohio native's rescue, giving him a ride in the #67 at St. Pete, Barber and Long Beach.

A sponsorship announcement for the #30 entry is expected before the Month of May practice begins on May 15th.
