In a press conference today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Indy Racing League confirmed the addition of Randy Bernard as the new CEO. Bernard, who has been the CEO of the Professional Bull Riders for the last 15 years will begin his tenure with the IRL beginning March 1st.Speaking on the last 15 years Bernard said that he was "blessed to work with such a great sport, and I enjoyed the success that we all shared together. But I was ready to make a change in my life. Josie George was determined that the change should be with the Indy Racing League, and after significant research I was excited about the opportunity.I truly believe I can make a difference with the Indy Racing League, and I see tremendous potential. The IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights have intense action, high-stakes competition, extreme athletes, a diverse international schedule, great sponsors and a very passionate fan base.”Bernard went on to thank the Hulman-George family saying: “for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of this great tradition.
