The Speedway Is Not For Sale

According Bruce Martin of VERSUS, the sky is not falling. Check it out.

“I love my brother Tony dearly. We really wanted him to accept our offer of running the Indy Racing League and focusing all of his energy on that because we think it is very important to our family. We were stunned and deeply disappointed when he turned us down and decided to step down completely.

The decisions we made in that meeting were to improve the business side. This is a family-business and we want to keep it that way. We want to have the business strong and start preparing the next generation of leadership within the family with Jarrod and Kyle Krisiloff, Jessika Gunter, Olivia Conforti, Lauren George, Tony Jr. and Ed Carpenter.

We want both the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the IndyCar Series to remain strong for the day when the next generation takes over the family business.” -Unnamed "Sister"

Selling the Speedway may be the only way to distance Indy Car racing from Tony George. This may be the only way to regain the millions of fans that he offended.

It is also imperative that any reference to the "IRL" be removed.

In addition, the Versus/Directv fiasco must be fixed. What fan wants to watch only a partial season?
