Just a day after Indy 500 rookie Mike Conway backed his car into the turn 1 wall, he was released from Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Suffering from a bruised lung, the Dreyer & Reinbold driver will be examined by IMS doctors on Friday and is expected to take back to the track on Saturday at the earliest.
Conway still has to qualify for the 93rd Indianapolis 500, with his last 2 opportunities coming this Saturday and Sunday. It has been rumored that Darren Manning who drove the #23 D&R Dallara in the first 2 races of the season, could fill in for the injured Conway if he's unable to run.
