Viso Up For Possible 2010 F1 Ride

According to SPEEDtv, Venezuelan Indycar driver E.J. Viso has been contacted by F1 newcomer Campos Grand Prix about a possible 2010 ride.

After starting out the 2009 Indycar Season with 7 strait DNF's, Viso picked up his game, ending the season with just 1 DNF in his final 10 races. With 5 races left in the season, E.J. was joined at HVM Racing by former F1 pilot Robert Doornbos who ran the first part of the year with NHL Racing. Unlike Viso, Doornbos is signed with HVM through next season.

Other drivers contacted include:
  • Nelson Piquet Jr.
  • Bruno Senna
  • Pastor Maldonado
  • Bertrand Baguette
  • Pedro de le Rosa
"It is our intention to be clear on the direction of our drivers by the middle of November" -Adrian Campos

I would think EJ would have to bring major sponsorship money to that team to beat out those drivers for a seat. I am going to call this a long shot
